SynergyExperts Publishes Manual / EventPak for Projects

March 27th, 2010

SynergyExperts, the organization that creates Tools and Manuals for Exact’s Synergy Module announces that a new Manual / EventPak has been published and available for immediate sale.

The manual demonstrates a Project with over 85 milestones and tasks for the development of new products.  Using this manual, an organization can quickly begin the implementation of this module in Synergy for Projects.

This manual (over 150 pages) demonstrates the use of Projects within the Synergy module.  Custom Requests (and how to build them) are shown, allowing an organization to mimic the information in the manual.

Four custom ASP pages were created to allow an organization to view Milestones, Tasks, Notes and Time Entry information directly from the Project Card in Synergy.

This manual and other Tools, Tips, EventPaks and other manuals are available at www.synergyexpert.com

Synergy ASP Pages are Easy to Create

January 12th, 2010

For customers that use Exact’s Synergy in their daily business activities, you may find it very beneficial to create custom ASP Pages for your employees.  These ASP Pages can contain information from your Accounting / Distribution / Manufacturing Modules of Exact’s Progression, Macola ES, Max or JobBoss databases.

Information from these back office systems can be presented in Synergy so your employees can stay in one software program.  This minimizes the amount of training them to access this data within your back office software.

The Donas Group can create these ASP Pages and install them on your Synergy menu or if you have basic programming skills, you may take our 25 development templates and create your specific views.  Within minutes, you may begin bringing data from your abckoffice software and displaying to your Synergy customers.

Our manual “Creating Custom ASP Pages” is available for purchase at our website www.synergyexpert.com.  A video is being created to highlight examples of custom ASP Pages and should be available on our website within 14 days.

Use of the Hide Field in a Synergy Request

November 11th, 2009

One of our customers just asked us this question.  They have a number of Synergy Requests in their system, but they wanted to add another request without placing it in the list.  Our reply back to them – create the request as normal and click the field that says “Hide” in the General Section.

This will allow a user that knows that this request exists, the ability to use it – while hiding it from other users in the menu system.

To make it easy for the proper resources to use the request, a link can be created on a custom start page.

Training Materials for Synergy Added to Website

September 18th, 2009

I have been asked by a number of Synergy Accounts to share some of the tools and manuals that are used in staff training sessions.

In many of our trainings, we tend to personalize our presentations and manuals for the audience and the intended message that should be delivered.  However there are some tools and manuals that are more generic and can be used by other organizations.

These downloads are available from the www.synergyexpert.com website.

Check back often as more of these documents will be added.  If you have a document that you can share with others, please send it to me at dkloepfer@synergyexpert.com

Create Projects from a Synergy Request

September 2nd, 2009

A New Tool is being created by www.synergyexpert.com which will allow Synergy Resources to create New Projects” based upon a Workflow request.”

This tool was developed as a result of a customer needing to ensure that each Project created would have data validated during the entry process through a series of drop down responses.

Creating a new project in Synergy allows the Project Manager to use date fields, number fields, yes/no fields and text fields.  There are five of each category within a new project.

The tool will function like this example:  A Resource will create a “New Project” workflow request.  Within the Request, there will be the User Defined Fields that will be specific to the Project.  A Synergy System Manager will create this request and may elect to have some of the User defined fields considered mandatory.

Once the Request has been created (and “Approved” if required), Exact’s Event Manager will begin the process of creating the Project.  Once the Project has been created – resources can be added or Child Projects can be created.  The Event Manager is required for this tool to function.

This tool is expected to be placed on our website for sale by October 1st.  A brochure and Presentation will be created to demonstrate its functionality.

Additional personalizations of this tool may be made by our Development Team to allow for specific requirements which may be necessary for your organization in the process of Creating New Projects.
